How We Make
Every piece begins the same way — with a material, a place, or a memory that asked to be made permanent. What happens after that depends on what kind of piece it is. We believe you should know the difference before you buy.
Custom Pieces
Some pieces exist because someone asked for them. Custom work starts with a conversation — about materials, meaning, and what you're trying to hold onto — and ends with a piece built to that conversation alone. Custom pieces carry their own pricing, separate from our standard collections, because they take the kind of time and attention that can't be repeated for anyone else. Once made, a custom piece is not offered again in the same form.
Materials
We work primarily in [metals — e.g. gold, silver] and natural stones, sourced with intention rather than convenience. Where a stone's story matters — as it does throughout our Origins collection — we tell you what we know: where it's from, whether it's been treated, and whether it carries independent certification. Where we don't yet have that information, we say so, rather than leave the question unanswered.
Our heritage work draws specifically on Ceylon sapphires — stones from the island where our founder was born, sourced one at a time, each with its own history before it ever reached a bench.
Availability — What's Permanent, What's Not
Studio Collection — made to order, always available This is our permanent line. Each design is built to last, cast from molds we keep on hand, so a piece you love today can be made again next year. The silhouette stays constant — but the details may shift slightly over time, as new stones or materials become available. If a piece matters to you, the shape will still be here. The stone in front of you may not be exactly the one that comes next.
Place Collections — one journey, then gone Each Place Collection is born from time spent somewhere — a place lived in, returned to, or newly encountered. The materials are gathered on that journey, in that quantity, at that moment. Once a collection sells out, it isn't remade. Another place, another season, will bring another collection — but this one will not come again.
Origins — the rarest material we touch Origins pieces are worked in gold around rare, individually sourced stones — primarily Ceylon sapphires — and priced to reflect what goes into them. Every Origins piece is one of one. When it sells, that particular stone's story ends there.
Lead Times
Studio Collection pieces are made to order from molds we keep on hand, typically ready in [X–X weeks].
Custom pieces begin with a conversation and are built individually — timelines vary based on materials and complexity, and we'll give you a specific estimate once we understand what you're asking for.
Place Collections and Origins pieces are ready to ship once purchased, since each exists in a single, finished quantity from the start.
